Our various kinds of music attracted our fans.

What did you feel when the major debut was decided?
JongHyun: “I was surprised.”
YongHwa: “Because there would be Yokohama Arena live concert, so I felt anxious about it. I’m a person who worries about everything on my own. (laugh) Of course, I also felt happy but at the same time felt sad because our indie activity would end. I had some strange feeling.”


Please tell us what CNBLUE’s charm is.
JongHyun: “I think we have various kinds of music.”
JungShin: “There’s our various kinds of music in one album.”
YongHwa: “Our music is acceptable by rock fans.”
MinHyuk: “And also, our good relationship. (laugh)”

Please tell us about your Japanese debut song “In My Head”!
YongHwa: “It’s full of energy and youth-feeling.”
JungShin: “I think the music is that if you don’t listen to the whole song, you can’t get “the feeling”. But, as for this song the point is chorus part.”
MinHyuk: “It’s the powerful tune. It’s a song with full of enthusiasm, so please listen to it.”
JongHyun: “The song was composed by YongHwa. The lyrics are very good. There’s a message that we have to do our best with our dreams. So, I want you notice the lyrics, too.”

What do you want to convey in this song?
YongHwa: “I want to tell (everyone) that let’s do our best when we’re striving for our dreams.”
MinHyuk: “We are in early 20s, the same age as Ray’s readers, I will be happy if you could relate to our music. Our real feelings are written in the lyrics, like in “Mr. KIA”, so I think girls would understand, too.”

YongHwa, how do you write songs?
YongHwa: “I start thinking the idea when the theme comes up. I always write straight away once the idea comes up. It doesn’t mean I can write in short time. But, it takes about 8 hours. I’ve once sat for 8 hours to make a song. At that time, I even forgot to go to toilet. (laugh)”






It’s okay to fail. We still can get over it!

What’s the role of each member?
JungShin: “YongHwa and JongHyun are big brothers; MinHyuk and I are little brothers. So I think that we as little brothers are making up the deficiencies in big brothers and supporting them.”
MinHyuk: “Because I’m a drummer, I think I’m in charge of mking a solid shaft. As for my personal role, I’m usually a quiet person, so I often listen to other members’ stories. (laugh)JungShin and I are the same age, but among members he knows the punch line.”
JongHyun: “Absolutely, JungShin looks like he’s the “happy virus”. He brightens up everyone just by being with him. He’s a very good kid and it is shown when he’s playing (bass).”
YongHwa: “If I have to introduce JongHyun, he likes music and likes guitar a lot. Also, he likes sports as well.”

Lastly, please give your messages for our readers who always do their best for their dreams!
YongHwa: “Please keep on having positive feelings. I’m the type of person that always worries about a lot of things, but try not to think too much and just try first. Even though you have hard times, when you have what you wanted to do, you will have much to gain. So everyone, how about thinking that way?”
JongHyun: “Whatever you want to do, please try to do that. It’s okay if you fail. Because we’re young, we can get over it!”
